Commissions make up the bulk of my work. I love both working on them and the inspiration I get from them. I'm always very happy to discuss ideas to create unique scenes for you.

How they work: 

• Please  supply me with a photo of who you want represented;  if more than one person is to be included, it would be very helpful if you could send a photo that shows height differences.

• Please also tell me if there are any aspects of that person that aren't adaptable, i.e. she never wears skirts, wears her hair up, he never wears hats, has no hair etc. 

• From there, I spend time looking through my large array of figures and send you the ones I think represent the people.

• It's at this point that I remind people the figures are roughly 2 cm or smaller and, whilst they're unlikely to match the person exactly, once painted to look like them, they work well! 

• If you're happy with my selection, you pay a 50% deposit and we move onto the finer details. 

• I'll need all the details - hair colour, skin colour, clothes and shoes! Hair colour is particulary important as often photos don't depict the colour clearly enough. And of course a decision on what the background looks like. I have many stock photos, but if it's a specific area, I can direct you on how to take a photo that works. It's all about the perspective!

• Timeframe - if I have suitable figures in stock, I can turn it around in a week, but ideally I'd like at least 2-3 weeks, and even more in the run up to Christmas!
